Meidensha Corporation (Meiden) of Japan has been manufacturing vacuum capacitors since 1980's. 

Meiden high quality-long life vacuum capacitors are used  in variety of applications and industries:

 

  * Vacuum capacitors for RF generators and matching networks in plasma deposition equipment.  

  * Vacuum capacitors for  broadcast HF and UHF transmitters.

  * Vacuum capacitors for antenna tuning units and couplers.

Meidensha's vacuum capacitors employ patented designs and are known by the trade name MEIVAC.

Main features of MEIVAC vacuum capacitor design include:

  * High resistance to side loading 

  * Convection and/or water cooling

  

High dielectric strength, together with freedom from dust contamination and humidity enable higher voltage capabilities than with air dielectric, giving a far more compact component.

 

Meidensha’s is continuously extending its range of ceramic envelope capacitors

which offer lower cost and higher voltage hold-off and current carrying capability for a given size.

 

Extensive production and testing facilities at our factory insure highest quality possible.

Each vacuum capacitor is individually tested to insure high quality and long life.

For high current applications some models offer forced air and water cooled capacitors.
